Lonesome Coyotes
One day, a co-worker friend of mine, Tom Turley, and I were talking about our musical experiences. He used to be in a “Kingston Trio” cover band with a couple of his high school buddies, Bill Alevizon and Dennis Stefani (Gwen Stefani’s dad). They played folk music with acoustic guitars and banjos. Tom told me that his old friends and he were gonna get together and jam. He asked if I wanted to join them. I said sure! So we got together and jammed, playing a bunch of folk stuff and any other songs that we all were familiar with. I think we may have got together 1 or 2 more times with all of us after that, but Tom and Bill and I started talking about putting a little acoustic group together and maybe play some coffee houses around the area. Thus, the Lonesome Coyotes were born. My cousin, Larry Nelson, joined us a little while later after the 3 of us went to his studio to record some demos. We did end up playing a few coffee houses.
There are a few videos posted at;

There are also some videos posted on Tom’s Reverb Nation page (although they may be the same). http://www.reverbnation.com/tomturley
This band evolved into The Moonlight Ramblers.
